Develop, implement and manage training and Skills Development for all departments within the Company including Skills Development annual plan, Skills levy investment in training, providing departmental and individual plans including Performance measurements and reports. 

Identifying training and development needs within the Company through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments 

Ensuring that key employees on the succession plans are developed and trained appropriately 

Working closely with other divisions in HR to ensure that continuous improvement is implemented in all areas 

Work closely with managers with a focus on assisting them identify skills and expertise that will be suitable for the divisions needs and fit organizational values and vision 

Report to the SETA on training and development within timeframe and according to prescripts 

Repot on Employment Equity and progress, including annual legislative reporting in terms of the Employment Equity Act 

Continuously seek ways to optimize training opportunities within the statutory frameworks of the Skills development Act 

Comply with and/or implement Training policies and procedures as and when required 

Develop an orientation programme with the relevant line manager for new appointees and follow-up to ensure the smooth progress of the orientation programme 

Record keeping of all Training and Development within the Company 

Ensure that Training Registers are completed, updated and filed accordingly 

Compile Training Certificates as required 

Participate in HR initiatives and projects as required. 



Relevant Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Development 

Minimum 3-5 years working experience in training and development, experience in training and delivery. 

Qualified as an Assessor and Moderators is a prerequisite 

Excellent English communication and presentation skills 

English communication skills (Oral and writing) 

Working knowledge of SETA’s 

Manufacturing or Metal and Steel industry experience will be an added advantage 

Experience in developing and implementing strategies.
